Katte pongal is one of the most easiest and healthy breakfast prepared more in south indian homes,this recipe is full of protein and rich in carbohydrates,This recipe is made in just minutes so today we will know about recipe of katte pongal

Ingredients?

  • Rice -100 grams
  • Green gram -75 grams
  • Black pepper-5 seeds
  • Curry leaves-1 bunch
  • cumin seeds-1 table spoon
  • Ghee-1 table spoon
  • Green chilly-5 pieces
  • Cashews-10 grams
  • Turmeric-1 pinch
  • Salt for taste
  • Red chilies

Methods/Preparation

  • First take two bowls and soak 100 grams of rice and 75 grams of green gram separatly for 3omins
  • Take one vessel and add some ghee into it and heat well,later add cashews into it and fry them
  • After add some green chilies,cumin seeds,mustard seeds,red chilies,turmeric,curry leaves and fry all of them foe seasoning.
  • Now after keeping seasoning ingredients aside and take soaked rice and green gram in to pressure cooker and add 4 glasses of water and salt to it.
  • Cook up to 3 whistles to come and later after 2minutes remove from pressure cooker and add seasoning items to it and serve hot
