Insant basin chutney recipe (bombay chutney)

This chutney is made of basin and its best combination for south indian tiffin idly and it is also called as bombay chutney


Ingredients:-

  • Basin powder-100 grams
  • Tamarind-lemon sized
  • Green chilly-6 pieces
  • salt

Seasoning:-

  • Curry leaves-1 bunch
  • Red chilly-4 pieces
  • Turmeric-1 pinch
  • Cumin seeds 1 tea spoon
  • Mustard seeds
  • hing powder 

Method/Preparation:-

  • First soak tamarind for 15 minutes and later extract pulp of tamarind and throw it away,now take remaining tamarind water 
  • Now take tamarind water,add basin,green chilly,turmeric,salt and some more water and  boil it for sometime.
  • Boil for 10 minutes
  • Now take one pan add some oil heat it well and add cumin seeds,mustard seeds,red chilly,hind powder and curry leaves,fry it well 
  • Now mix above seasoning to basin item and serve hot with south indian breakfast idly
